This Privacy Policy explains how Opsycle ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use opsycle.com and our cleaning business software (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Service:
- Account data: name, business name, email, password (hashed), phone, timezone, and settings.
- Business content you enter: clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, packages, team invites, checklists, and notes.
- Billing data: plan, subscription status, and identifiers from our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy or Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: login sessions, product events, and technical logs (IP, browser, device) for security and reliability.
- Communications: messages you send us (support, feedback).
2. How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (scheduling, invoicing, portals, billing).
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
- Process subscriptions and send transactional emails (receipts, invites, pay links when configured).
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process data based on: (a) performance of a contract (providing the Service), (b) legitimate interests (security, product improvement, fraud prevention), (c) consent where required (e.g. certain cookies or marketing), and (d) legal obligations.
4. Sharing and processors
We share data with trusted processors only as needed to run Opsycle: hosting (e.g. Vercel), database (e.g. Neon), payments (Lemon Squeezy / Stripe), and email delivery if enabled. They process data under contracts and only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Your customers' data
If you store client or employee data in Opsycle, you are the controller of that data. You must have a lawful basis to collect it. We act as a processor for that content and process it only to provide the Service to you.
6. Retention and security
We retain account and business data while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, or security purposes after closure. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords). No method of transmission is 100% secure.
7. International transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact support@opsycle.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Contact
